Michel Schoonjans has a degree in physiotherapy and functional rehabilitation from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and has been an official physiotherapist since 1996. With more than 23 years of experience, he is able to treat all people suffering from musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular or psychomotor disorders. Michel Schoonjans has a very rich background in the field of physical therapy. Indeed, he has carried out several in-depth researches on the interest of coupling isokinetic testing and EMG in the context of patellofemoral syndrome. For the past 10 years, he has also been a member of the teaching staff at the ULB as an assistant in charge of exercises at the Institute of Motor Sciences, and at the HELB as a training supervisor. He also practiced at the osteoarticular center of the Antoine Depage Clinic where he gained the trust of several patients. As a general physiotherapist, I treat musculoskeletal pain (cervical, back, hand, wrist as well as hip, knee or ankle problems). I also treat low back pain. I receive my patients in Brussels at the Medical Center Europe-Schuman on Mondays and Wednesdays and at the Ambiorix21 Center (Square Ambiorix21 1000 Brussels) on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Diplômé d’un Master en Kinésithérapie et Réadaptation à l’Université Libre de Bruxelles (U.L.B.), je suis également titulaire d’un master en sciences de la motricité.

Je suis ainsi spécialisé dans les pathologies sportives, mais je m’occupe également des prises en charges dites « générales », des rééducations pré- et post-opératoires et orthopédiques.

Depuis plus de 20 ans , je m'occupe de la préparation physique d'athlètes de tous niveaux du professionnel à l'amateur .

Animée par une grande soif d'apprentissage et une passion pour le domaine de la santé, j'ai entrepris une formation en kinésithérapie afin de compléter mon parcours d'ergothérapeute.
