I have terrible back pain. When I have an upset back, it interferes with my life and I can't do anything. I want a normal life. Could you please give some advice?
Is there any centre specialized in syncope in Belgium?
Il faut consulter un centre de cardiologie
I just did a 24 hour urine collection with blood sample. eGFR is 125, I drank 2.4L of water in the 24 hour period and had 1.625L of urine output. But the thing is my creatinine was 169 mL/min/1.73m2 when normal range according to lab is 88-135. Also my urea was 1124mg/dL or 18g/24h when normal range according to lab is 1710-3570mg/dL or 25.8-42.6g/24h. I'm in a bit of panic as these seem very low in comparison to normal range and I'm only seeing my urologist in a month from now. Please help me out explaining this so I can calm down a bit. Thanks in advance.
You do not appear to be in kidney failure, and there are no urgent red flags in these results. The combination of a high-normal eGFR, slightly elevated creatinine clearance, and lower urea points more toward dietary or physiological variation, not disease. It’s very reasonable to feel concerned when lab numbers don’t line up with the reference ranges, but the full picture here is actually quite reassuring.
If anything still feels off to you — like fatigue, swelling, changes in urination, or other symptoms — bring them up with your doctor. And if you're particularly concerned about kidney function rather than structural issues, you mig...ht even consider asking for a nephrology referral in addition to your urologist appointment.
Let me know if you’d like help interpreting other results or planning what to ask at your next appointment. You’re doing the right thing by being proactive — and from what I see so far, there’s no reason to panic.
