With 14 years experience as a physiotherapist at the foot of the Austrian mountains, I have now decided to continue my work in Belgium. 

I've continually developed and trained in the field of orthopaedics, surgery and traumatology.

I am specialised in manual therapy, sports physiotherapy and lymphatic drainage. 

I'm passionate about my work and want to use my knowledge and expertise to support and guide you in your rehabilitation. 

I'm fluent in German and English and have a good level of French, which I'm improving on a daily basis.

Licensed Physical Therapist. Graduated from a master in physical therapy in 2017, my practice is focused on a manual approach, centered on the patient, his needs and his goals in order to best adjust the treatment. My years of experience in various institutions (Institut Jules Bordet - treatment of cancer patients, Hôpital Molière-Lonchamp, Centre Keops) have enabled me to acquire the ability to treat patients in a way that is adapted to each individual. I am currently studying osteopathy at the CBO (Collège Belge d'Ostéopathie)

Michel Schoonjans has a degree in physiotherapy and functional rehabilitation from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and has been an official physiotherapist since 1996. With more than 23 years of experience, he is able to treat all people suffering from musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular or psychomotor disorders. Michel Schoonjans has a very rich background in the field of physical therapy. Indeed, he has carried out several in-depth researches on the interest of coupling isokinetic testing and EMG in the context of patellofemoral syndrome. For the past 10 years, he has also been a member of the teaching staff at the ULB as an assistant in charge of exercises at the Institute of Motor Sciences, and at the HELB as a training supervisor. He also practiced at the osteoarticular center of the Antoine Depage Clinic where he gained the trust of several patients. Today, physiotherapist Michel Schoonjans welcomes you in his own practice in Uccle. You can also find him at City Clinic in the city of Ixelles. He is specialized in general and sports trauma rehabilitation, in Sohier method analytical kinesiology and in lymphatic drainage. Graduated with a master's degree in physiotherapy at ISEK in 2018, I specialize in sports physiotherapy, ortho-traumatology, hand/wrist. The treatments offered are mainly active, attentive to patients and personalized according to your needs. I am a licensed physiotherapist (this means that the price of the session is higher than the price of the INAMI and therefore the reimbursement will be lower). For VIPO/BIM people, the rates and reimbursements will be those of INAMI.

Reçoit au cabinet situé dans le basic fit de Namur St Servais ainsi qu'à domicile dans la région de Namur-Malonne. le basic fit est accessible pour les séances de kiné même pour les personnes n'ayant pas d'abonnement

Je suis disponible pour prendre en charge vos pathologies dans différents domaines : orthopédie, uro-gynécologie, accompagnement pré et post natal, drainage lymphatique, respiratoire.

Je me suis formée en rééducation abdomino-pelvienne et en kinésithérapie périnatale à l’UCL, afin d’explorer ce domaine qui me passionne. Je peux ainsi vous accompagner dans la prise en charge des troubles pelvi-périnéaux, incluant les troubles urinaires, fécaux, gynécologiques, ainsi que les difficultés pouvant impacter la sphère intime, chez les femmes, les hommes et les enfants.

Pour rappel, ces troubles sont fréquents et n’ont pas à être tabous. Ma porte sera toujours ouverte pour en parler avec vous. J’ai hâte de vous rencontrer et de vous accompagner afin d’atteindre vos objectifs.

Je prends en charge les troubles musculo-squelettiques, les pathologies traumatologiques, ainsi que les lombalgies et cervicalgies aiguës ou chroniques, sans oublier l’accompagnement au maintien de l’autonomie.

Je privilégie une prise en charge active et dynamique, centrée sur le mouvement et l’autonomie du patient, tout en intégrant des techniques passives lorsque celles-ci s’avèrent nécessaires. L’objectif est de proposer un traitement adapté à chaque situation, dans une relation de confiance, de bienveillance et d’empathie.

Sportswoman and always interested in the human body and helping people, it was quite natural that I studied physiotherapy at the Leonard de Vinci high school. Graduating in 2022, I directly began a specialization in pelvi-perineology at UCL. I treat men and women both in general physiotherapy (orthopedics, sports injuries, geriatrics, etc.) and in abdominopelvic rehabilitation. Graduated in 2016 in France, I worked for 6 years in the Nantes region. I then moved to Brussels in 2022 where I signed a contract. I practice active care adapted in particular to musculoskeletal problems (back pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, etc.) and pathologies linked to sport and activity. My goal is to empower patients as much as possible by adapting to them and their pathology by supporting them during their rehabilitation. I have completed different training courses since my diploma: Mckenzie part A, Mulligan upper quadrant, Mulligan lower quadrant, Jo GIBSON, Neurodynamics.
