Dr. Jean-François Argacha is head physician in the Cardiology department of UZ Brussel (VUB) since October 2013. He defended a doctoral thesis in Medical Sciences (PhD) at ULB in 2009. After training at Clinique Pasteur in Toulouse, he received his certificate in interventional cardiology from the University of Paris Descartes in 2009. His clinical activities focus both on cardiovascular prevention and the management of acute coronary care. Its technical activities target the percutaneous treatment of coronary heart disease and valve pathologies. Dr Jean-François Argacha is also an academic professor at the VUB and a lecturer at the ULB. His areas of scientific expertise are coronary physiology and the autonomic regulation of the cardiovascular system. He is also conducting research on the cardiovascular consequences of exposure to various environmental factors (atmospheric pollution, noise, temperature change, etc.).
