Fouad Abarkan Master

Graduated with a master's degree in dental sciences from the Université Libre de Bruxelles in 2014, Fouad Abarkan initially devoted himself to endodontics by completing a two-year clinical internship at the Erasme hospital ( ULB). On this occasion, he participated in a one-month exchange program in the endodontics department of Beirut Arab Univesity (BAU). This allowed him to improve in the management and understanding of complex cases in endodontics as well as endodontic surgery. Eager to learn and understand dental sciences, in 2016 he turned to training abroad, including a series of certificates obtained at the prestigious University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). It is in this context that he was able to develop and deepen his knowledge of orofacial pain and temporomandibular disorders but also of dental aesthetics and soft tissue management. When we arrive at university, one of the first principles we must integrate is to analyze a situation from the necessary distance so as to be able to associate multiple concepts and solve a given problem. It is this guideline that pushed Fouad to cross different continents in search of knowledge, open-mindedness and understanding of the different working techniques in all areas of dentistry. Participation in international conferences (IADS, FDI, etc.) as well as various practical training courses, assistance from various recognized specialists, visits to renowned universities across Europe, Asia, the Middle The Orient and the United States were part of Fouad's daily life for many years. Member and Belgian representative within the International Association of Dental Students (IADS) for more than 10 years, he has been able to increase exchanges and sharing with colleagues from all over the world. Since 2018, he has decided to share his experience and the knowledge he has acquired under the key words: “Sharing is Caring”. He was indeed invited to present topics concerning orofacial pain at several Belgian conferences at DENTAL EDUCATION, but also international ones such as: Slovak Dental Days in Bratislava, intervention at the University of Kosice, Sidsic at the University of Ljubljana, Dental News at the University of Poznan. His practice is focused on the prevention and management of pain which he practices in Brussels within the Ribaucourt Medical-Dental Clinic. “TOGETHER let’s bring dentistry to the highest level”
