I do my best to avoid conflicts between different agendas, and to avoid keep you waiting.
Your choice of a time slot doesn't always grant you the required appointment.
This is why it's better to request an appointment as soon as you fall sick, to enable me to confirm your appointment or to call you to schedule a different one the same day.
Unusual long confirmation delay? Or "unavailability" due to exceptional rate of demands? Then call me at the office line to find a solution.
And please, be patient.
