Dr. Agnieszka Pozdzik, M.D., Ph.D.
Specialist in Internal Medicine & Nephrology
I am a specialist in internal medicine with a certified qualification in nephrology, dedicated to supporting patients in managing their kidney health.
My main areas of focus are the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of two common kidney conditions:
- Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
- Kidney Stones (Renal Lithiasis / Nephrolithiasis)
Chronic kidney disease is a condition where the kidneys slowly lose their ability to function properly. Since the kidneys help filter waste and excess fluids from your body, when they don’t work well, it can lead to a buildup of harmful substances. The tricky part is that in the early stages, CKD often causes no clear symptoms—many people only discover it when the disease has already progressed. That’s why early detection and regular follow-up are so important.
I also care for patients who suffer from kidney stones, a painful but common issue. Beyond the immediate discomfort, kidney stones can increase the risk of developing chronic kidney disease, high blood pressure, and bone health problems. Unfortunately, cases of kidney stones are becoming more frequent, especially among women.
My goal is to provide each patient with personalized care, clear explanations, and practical advice—whether it's for managing an existing condition or preventing future complications. Together, we can take proactive steps to protect your kidney health and improve your well-being.
If you have concerns about your kidneys, whether it's related to chronic disease, kidney stones, or simply prevention, I’m here to help.
