My main areas of focus are the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of two common kidney conditions:

• Kidney Stones (Renal Lithiasis / Nephrolithiasis)

Chronic kidney disease is a condition where the kidneys slowly lose their ability to function properly. Since the kidneys help filter waste and excess fluids from your body, when they don’t work well, it can lead to a buildup of harmful substances. The tricky part is that in the early stages, CKD often causes no clear symptoms—many people only discover it when the disease has already progressed. That’s why early detection and regular follow-up are so important.

I also care for patients who suffer from kidney stones, a painful but common issue. Beyond the immediate discomfort, kidney stones can increase the risk of developing chronic kidney disease, high blood pressure, and bone health problems. Unfortunately, cases of kidney stones are becoming more frequent, especially among women.
