Florence Hougardy welcomes you at the Centre Mimosa (25 avenue de la Forêt de Soignes, 1640 Rhode-Saint-Genèse) on Friday afternoons from 2pm to 7pm and the rest of the week at her private practice (51, avenue des Cèdres, Rhode-Saint-Genèse) for psychological appointments. The price of a consultation is 50€ for 45 min (teenager/adult) or 40€ for 30 min (child under 13). You are in good hands.

Each person’s healing path is unique, and my approach is rooted in empathy, creativity, and evidence-based techniques, helping you navigate challenges with self-compassion and resilience.

With a multicultural background and multiple experiences abroad, I would like to let me guide you through different processes of reconnecting with one’s self, understanding your path, overcoming challenges in your everyday life, going through an overwhelming period, wanting to communicate better with your partner, approaching burnout, or experiencing high levels of anxiety or depression. 

I am a clinical psychologist with a master’s degree from Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), and I work with adults facing emotional difficulties, low self-esteem, relationship issues, or repeated patterns that feel hard to change. In my practice, I use schema therapy — a method that helps people understand and change long-standing patterns that often come from unmet emotional needs earlier in life. I completed my basic training in Schema Therapy with the ISST (International Society of Schema Therapy), and I’m passionate about this approach. I also have training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and I integrate tools from both approaches depending on each person’s needs. I aim to support people in breaking self-destructive cycles and building a more authentic, emotionally fulfilling life.

Klinik psikoloji yüksek lisans eğitimimi Brüksel'de Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB)’de tamamladım. Yetişkinlerle çalışıyorum ve terapide ağırlıklı olarak duygusal zorlanmalar, ilişki problemleri, özgüven eksikliği, depresyon, anksiyete bozuklukları ve kişilik örgütlenmesine dair sorunlarla ilgileniyorum. Terapi sürecimde temel olarak Şema Terapi yaklaşımını benimsiyorum. Şema terapi, bireyin çocukluk döneminde gelişen duygusal ihtiyaçlarının yeterince karşılanmaması sonucu oluşan ve bugün ilişkilerini, düşünce biçimini ve yaşam döngülerini etkileyen kalıpları anlamasına ve dönüştürmesine yardımcı olur. Bu yaklaşım üzerine ISST (Uluslararası Şema Terapi Derneği) onaylı temel eğitimimi tamamladım. Ayrıca Bilişsel Davranışçı Terapi (BDT) alanında da eğitim aldım ve bu iki yöntemi kişinin ihtiyaçlarına göre entegre bir şekilde kullanıyorum.

Psychotherapist in brief therapy which aims at relieving suffering in a sustainable and least invasive way. The interviews offer a space to express the problems in order to explore the lived experience in order to elaborate a therapeutic work to manage the difficulties related to stress, anxiety, anguish, impulsivity, management of the emotions. EMDR therapist (level 1) for the treatment of traumas (post-traumatic stress states) and/or recent difficult life events that may have developed symptoms. Reassociative Trauma Therapy (RTT) Hypnotherapist RTT is a therapeutic tool practiced with strategic conversational hypnosis that is used to treat difficult memories with the goal of reassociating and rebalancing the different cognitive, emotional and physical perceptions in order to decrease its affective load and regain a normal tolerance threshold. Hypnotherapy is a complementary tool to EMDR therapy. Are you experiencing difficulties or symptoms following one or more recent events or a difficult life path? Psychologue clinicienne diplômée de l’université Libre de Bruxelles, agréée par la Commission des Psychologues et détentrice du visa clinicien, je suis spécialisée dans le suivi d’enfants, d’adolescents et de familles. 

J’accompagne les jeunes et/ou leurs familles à retrouver de la créativité et du mouvement lorsqu’il est devenu difficile de bouger et de se penser. Mon orientation est systémique mais j’utilise aussi des outils d’autres courants et disciplines comme la psychologie humaniste, la gestalt, la TCC, le dessin ou encore le théâtre. 

Grâce à mes diverses formations et expériences professionnelles, j’ai approfondi mes connaissances sur :
