Cette approche, également appelée “centrée sur la personne”, accorde une importance primordiale à l'empathie et au potentiel humain. Elle me permet de vous accompagner dans la compréhension de vous-même, dans le dépassement de vos difficultés et dans l’émergence de vos ressources personnelles.

Mon objectif est de vous accueillir dans ce nouvel espace où vous pouvez déposer ce qui vous pèse, dans un climat de bienveillance, et de bénéficier d’un suivi adapté à votre rythme et à vos besoins. 

Diplômé d’un Master en Psychologie clinique et Psychopathologie, ainsi que d’un Master en Neuropsychologie et développement cognitif, j’accorde également une attention particulière aux dimensions cognitives, attentionnelles et neurologiques qui peuvent influencer votre quotidien.

Florence Hougardy welcomes you at the Centre Mimosa (25 avenue de la Forêt de Soignes, 1640 Rhode-Saint-Genèse) on Friday afternoons from 2pm to 7pm and the rest of the week at her private practice (51, avenue des Cèdres, Rhode-Saint-Genèse) for psychological appointments. The price of a consultation is 50€ for 45 min (teenager/adult) or 40€ for 30 min (child under 13). You are in good hands.

Systemic therapy teaches us that the symptom "says something" to members of the community (often the family and/or the social-professional milieu) in terms of changing relationships. When did the symptoms emerge? What was happening at that time in the environment, the relational context? What new events have disrupted the balance? The therapy will therefore be interested in present and past relationships in order to understand what, if anything, is being replayed in terms of adjusting emotional distances, affects that have been "affected" and that have triggered the appearance of difficulties, of "ill-being". Offering a guarantee of professional listening equipped by university training and experience is certainly important and primordial, it is the necessary condition for therapy, but in my opinion it is not sufficient. To offer a secure framework by creating a climate of confidence where the humanity which is in each one of us finds its rightful place, such is the state of mind of the consultation. A warm welcome, benevolence, kindness, empathy, non-judgment and unconditional respect for the patient's "experiences" while adopting an unconditional positive attitude towards the person, who he is, are the key words and milestones that must order the "patient-therapist" encounter.

Using an integrative approach that reconciles psychoanalysis, behavioral and humanistic therapies, I propose that we work together in the understanding and resolution of problematic situations. Understanding the conceptual and cultural framework of others is the basis of the work I propose to undertake. Having worked in Latin America and practicing with expatriates, I attach particular importance to language, which can bring valuable subtleties to the therapeutic work. I receive in French as well as in Portuguese. The modalities and rhythm of the sessions will be determined during the first meetings where we will be able to identify the nature of the problem. My consultations are aimed at teenagers, adults and elderly people to whom I offer home follow-ups if necessary. Master en doctor in de psychologie, erkend klinisch psycholoog en klinisch neuropsycholoog. Mijn verhaal brengt me terug naar 2012, toen ik mijn master klinische psychologie behaalde aan de Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Ik was altijd al geïnteresseerd in de veranderbare aspecten van onze persoonlijkheid. Ik kreeg er de kans om een doctoraat te behalen in de persoonlijkheidspsychologie. Hierdoor heb ik een theoretische expertise opgebouwd in persoonlijkheidsdiagnostiek doorheen de levensloop. Prestaties zichtbaar maken is echter niet waar mijn hart van oplaait. Deze kennis gebruiken om mensen effectief te helpen is waar mijn echte passie ligt. ​ Vanuit mijn interesse voor de invloed van de hersenen op ons gedrag heb ik een postgraduaat klinische neuropsychologie voltooid (VUB, 2020). Deze opleiding zorgde voor verdieping in cognitieve functies die aan de basis liggen van persoonlijkheidseigenschappen en veerkracht, en stelt me bovendien in staat om ook mensen met een neurologische aandoening psychologisch te begeleiden. ​ Sinds 2021 heb ik mijn kabinet als zelfstandig klinisch psycholoog in Gooik en sinds 2022 ook in Moorsel (Aalst) en Ninove. Hier voel ik me op mijn best. Ik krijg energie van mensen te helpen door de ideale omstandigheden te creëren zodat die persoon kan schitteren.

Diplômée en psychologie en 2001 à l'UCL, je me suis d'abord formée à la psychothérapie avec les enfants puis à l'accompagnement des tout-petits (0 - 3 ans). Rencontrer un enfant ne se fait pas sans écouter, et parfois accompagner, ceux qui l'entourent et l'aident à grandir. Progressivement, je me suis donc également formée à travailler avec des adultes, parents ou pas. Aujourd'hui, je reçois tous ceux, petits et grands, qui à un moment de leur vie rencontrent une difficulté, s'interrogent ou sont en souffrance.

Psychologue clinicienne, je propose des consultations individuelles de tout âge. Je reçois également des personnes en situation de handicap qu’il soit mental ou physique. Mon approche est intégrative, c’est-à-dire qu’elle s’appuie sur plusieurs manières de penser la psychologie. Passionnée par le fonctionnement psychique humain depuis mon plus jeune âge, j’ai à cœur de mettre la santé mentale à la même place que la santé physique, c'est à dire, au centre des préoccupations. Il est pour moi important de la prendre en compte afin de vivre une vie sereine et épanouie. Que ce soit en cabinet ou en ligne, je vous reçois afin de vous accompagner dans votre cheminement de vie. Dans cet espace, nous pourrons échanger sur les problématiques qui vous préoccupent et nous essaierons ensemble de comprendre comment elles entravent votre évolution. Je considère que chaque personne est douée de ressources insoupçonnées qui lui permettront de dépasser les difficultés rencontrées. La thérapie est donc un processus de coopération mais également d’engagement envers soi-même.
