With over 15 years of experience in the field, I continue to be amazed by the need for mental well-being during a very important stage of life. Wanting to become pregnant or being pregnant. Perinatal or postnatal moments are often accompanied by concerns or numerous questions. Do you feel out of balance or simply unsure of things? A perinatal counselor is a professional who provides support and guidance to individuals and families during the perinatal period, which includes pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. They offer emotional, psychological, and sometimes practical assistance to help individuals navigate the challenges and changes associated with pregnancy, childbirth, and early parenthood. Perinatal counselors may address a wide range of issues, including prenatal anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, relationship dynamics, and adjustment to parenthood. My goal is to promote mental health and well-being for both parents and babies during this critical time.
