Dr. Gert Van den Bogaert completed his orthopaedic training in Flanders at the University of Leuven. In order to enrich his skills, he attended various renowned centers in Belgium but also abroad (USA, Switzerland, South Africa). For 20 years he worked as a shoulder and knee surgeon in the orthopaedic department of Herentals (Antwerp). Based on this experience, he mainly focuses on the treatment of complex shoulder pathology and reconstructive knee surgery. Bonjour, RDV post-op. 5 minutes de retard sont très acceptables. Le Médecin est à l'écoute du patient et prend la peine de lire le compte rendu du kiné et le lui répondre. Après examen du problème signalé, le patient est informé du diagnostic de la solution et des conséquences. la solution est immédiatement mise en oeuvre par une injection. Je sort donc rassuré sur le suivi de mon problème de douleurs post-op. Le fait de recevoir une facture ultérieurement par poste est un point positif. Cela me permet de ne pas me promener avec des liquidités car la place devant le centre est très mal fréquenté dès la tombée de la nuit.

    Hello! I've had pain in my left arm for about 6-7 months. It began with finger numbness and progressed to constant pain and high sensitivity on the two last fingers of the hand. The numbness was gone after some electric stimulation, but the pain lingered depending on the weather. I had the EMG/ENG electromyography/electroneurography done, but nothing on the test. Some guidance please?

    • You probly have a contracture of the posterior scapular muscles. This muscular cramp gives typical irradiating pain.
      I would give a trial session of dry needling .

Celui-ci pourra évaluer si une imagerie médicale est nécessaire (radiographie ou échographie), initier un traitement médicamenteux (anti-inflammatoires), proposer une adaptation de la charge et éventuellement recommander des séances de kinésithérapie.
      Si ces premières étapes n’apportent pas d’amélioration, il est préférable de consulter un physiothérapeute ou un chirurgien orthopédiste.

    Hello, I (28F) did a knee MRI a couple of months ago. These were the results: Coupes axiales, coronales et sagittales en PD FAT SAT. Coupes coronale T1. Résultat : On n'observe pas d'épanchement synovial significatif. Absence de kyste poplité. Les ligaments croisés et collatéraux sont préservés. Discret hypersignal horizontal flou observé sur la séquence sagittale PD FAT SAT le long de la surface inférieure du secteur postéromédian du ménisque interne, non formellement visible sur la séquence coronale, possiblement artéfactuelle. Pas de lésion cartilagineuse, intra-osseuse ou tendineuse significative démontrée. Hypersignal focal de la périphérie du condyle fémoral interne le long de. De pénétration vasculaire, aspécifique. My family doctor mentioned she did not understand the result because it lacked some wording and prescribed kine. Before doing it, I would like to make sure it is nothing more serious.     • Bonjour, il manque effectivement une partie du protocole. Quoi qu’il en soit, il semble que vous ayez soit surmené l’intérieur du genou, soit subi un choc aigu (une “contusion”). Ce n’est pas nécessairement grave et cela peut se résoudre spontanément. À condition toutefois d’épargner le genou dans les jours à venir et de ne le solliciter qu’en respectant les limites de la douleur.
