I am a registered psychiatrist and psychotherapist offering therapy for individuals, couples and families. I focus on helping people understand how they got into the problems that have now bogged them down in their lives. Each individual with their own story makes my work very interesting. It is inspiring to help people get back on track in their recovery towards a life without stress, fears or worries. Life is what you make of it but sometimes you need someone who really understands you. It is a wonderful journey of discovery for me with each person - I am grateful every day for my work and my patients who shared so much with me and allowed me to learn so much from them.
Our sessions take place in a calm and safe environment where you get the emotional support and professional guidance you need. Although we will talk about the problems you are facing, we will also focus on your strengths and look for ways to make positive changes in your life.
As a doctor, I am affiliated in Belgium to the Orde der Geneesheren, provincie Antwerpen (OrdoMedic) and in the Netherlands to the Registratiecommissie Geneeskundig Specialisten (KNMG, NVvP). I studied medicine at the Free University of Brussels and psychiatry & psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Catholic University of Leuven.
